“.Day 1: Colombo → Negombo → Munneswaram

Arrival. Drive to Munneswaram Temple, Chilaw – one of the 5 Ishwarams. Believed to be where Rama prayed after war to absolve sins.
Stay: Negombo

 

Day 2: Negombo → Anuradhapura → Sigiriya

Anuradhapura: Visit Nagadeepa – place where Rama’s brother Lakshmana is said to have visited.
Evening: Sigiriya – believed by some scholars to be Ravana’s fortress “Alakamanda”.
Stay: Sigiriya

 

Day 3: Sigiriya → Dambulla → Kandy

Dambulla Cave Temple – where Sita is said to have bathed.
Kandy: Temple of the Tooth + Seetha Amman Temple, Nuwara Eliya en route visit next day.
Stay: Kandy

 

Day 4: Kandy → Nuwara Eliya – “Sita’s Trail”

Seetha Amman Temple, Seetha Eliya – where Sita was held captive. Stream + footprints on rock.
Ashoka Vatika, Hakgala Botanical Garden – where Sita spent her days.
Gayathri Peedam – dedicated to Gayathri, Rama’s mother.
Stay: Nuwara Eliya

 

Day 5: Nuwara Eliya → Ella → Ravana Falls

Ravana Falls – where Ravana is said to have hidden Sita.
Ravana Cave, Ella – 1km tunnel believed to be Ravana’s hideout.
Little Adams Peak view.
Stay: Ella

 

Day 6: Ella → Wellawaya → Yala

Buduruwagala – 7 ancient Buddha statues, believed by some to be linked to Ravana’s kingdom.
Yala area: Sita Pokuna – natural caves where Sita meditated.
Stay: Yala

 

Day 7: Yala → Kataragama → Galle

Kataragama – sacred to both Buddhists and Hindus. Lord Murugan temple.
Drive to south coast.
Stay: Galle

 

Day 8: Galle → Colombo → Airport

Panchamuga Anjaneya Temple, Colombo – 5-faced Hanuman temple.
Kelani Raja Maha Vihara – where Rama is said to have worshipped.
Airport drop.
